Frequently Asked Questions

  • Does Concrete Decorative Curbing make our Home More Appealing and even Add Value?

Many factors affect the price and even the choices of buyers. Curbing will not help you much if you house color is off-putting for example

However, all things being equal, the look of the yard can make a strong first impression (and offset other defecits). According to Realtor magazine, decorative concrete curbing can potentially increase the property value by at least 7% compared to an exterior that doesn’t have landscape borders.

  • No way! How can Decorative Concrete Curbing Save Me Money?

Yes. Let’s take the simplest example of saving you money.

Have you ever seen your mulch migrate from your beds and into your yard? Less mulch means more weeds which means you purchase more mulch. Basically, you are mulching the planet without a border on your trees and beds. Stop the migration and get concrete curbing!

One customer noticed that the company cutting the yard was saving time once they installed concrete curbing. He went to the owner and made the argument that it should cost less to mow his yard, because now it was easier. He received a reduction since the company was spending less time (and he was getting more business in the neighborhood as the landscaped yard was attractive!).

  • I think Grey Concrete is Ugly! Who would put that Around their House?

We offer over 30 colors (and different shades of gray too!) so you can pick the right color to best complement your house. Why not set up a free design consultation today and see the color choices first hand?

  • How Long will my Curbing Last?

Decorative concrete curbing is basically a concrete product (like what is used in the Hoover Dam). If roots do not grow underneath and no one does harm to it (shovels, rakes, power tools, heavy equipment,...) you can enjoy your curbing for 12 to 20 years!

You should apply sealer to the curb every 2 to 3 years. It is a DIY project, if you are so inclined. We can show you which product we use and how it is applied. Alternatively, we will reach out and will be happy to apply the sealer for you (average cost is $100).

  • I have heard about these Free Estimates. I had a Windows Salesperson come and they would not leave! Way too pushy!

There is no obligation and no hard sell tactics. We want to share our excitement about curbing and if it is good fit, we are happy to install it at your home.

Folks who have had it a their other homes (in other states) come to a quick decision, but if you new to decorative concrete curbing, we do not expect you to make a quick decision about your landscaping.
